Ticklists: North Wales Rock Graded List, Ultimate E5 ticklist.

Did the traverse and got to the really bold bit. Didn't have any solid gear but kept getting higher and higher until I was committed with no way to down climb. Had to commit to uncertainty and somehow made it to the crack with relief. Fought my way up to the first peg getting more and more pumped on unobvious side pulls until I couldn't make the hard moves over to the second peg and came off. Looked like a few bits had broken off recently as the rock was black and scarred. Terrible dog-fest ensued to get to the top. Shame not to onsight but feel like I deserve the tick for getting that far!

Foot slipped near the start, then climbed clean. On sight no beta.

brilliant route; well protected, great moves.

Brilliant. We both led it. (Beta alert! Abseil inspection to check the condition of the crucial pegs following comments on here. I think that the pegs are very good. Well protected all the way (if you are fit enough to hunt it out) but take lots of very small cams, wires and RPs. Bigger cams protect the finish.)

Really rated this. Technically not that bad and not pumpy, but all verging into serious. Just about enough gear though. Great route!

An innocuous start, with more protection than you expect, leads to a pretty wild sequence with none whatsoever. The groove above is described as better protected, but only if your faith in the decaying pegs is greater than mine.

Found the slab OK and the top hard. Surprise surprise!

Description say the bottom slab is the bold bit - well, that might not be entirely true...

Retroflash. Seconded george 2 years ago. A great route of two halves. Lots of 6a and the gear just makes it into the 'adequate' category with lots of small cams. E5.7
