Partner never done anything like this before. When he couldn't do a move (often) he just hand-over-handed up the rope - man of steel. Unplanned bivvi at top of P10 or 11. Finished in morning. Ran out of water.

I pulled on the bolt at the mantel. John said we'd failed and wanted to go down. We argued then continued and were benighted trying to find the Catwalk and spent the night there. With a big fire.
