Rockfax Description
Although unbalanced, this is a memorable struggle from which few escape unmarked. Start at a crack above a gap in the ledge.
Burly crack manoeuvres ease at the midway point. Follow the natural line of steep cracks above to finish. © Rockfax

Had Joe fall off and land on my head, but good on second

Pretty wet, Joe landed on Wendy's head while leading. Start definitely hardest bit, slipped a couple of times; did not escape unmarked!

Bastard crux was wet. Gutted I didn't get it first time, but enjoyed it none the less once I'd passed the first laybacks.

Great atmosphere with swell booming at high tide. Good jamming and careful bridging to surprise flake on cruxy bottom section. Middle and top sections are easier and interesting. Good route and worth a star.

Very physical. Pumped out placing gear and had to take a couple of rests.

Having seconded this on Sunday I thought I would give it a go. Fell 3 times at the crux, not elegent but I made it to the top!

Got to just before it eases a bit but then had a good time hanging on the gear. Too tired, and thuggy start was just not going to happen that day for me.

Start's a beast, partic if shoulder pops out!! Good value and good gear though.
