nickdonohue 6 May, 2016 Solo As a ski day-tour from the Aiguille de Midi.... ascended to la Breche Puiseux from the Periades glacier, then abseiled (fixed rope in place) to Mt Mallet glacier, skied down onto Leschaux glacier and return to Mer de Glace / Montenvers. An excellent ski-mountaineering day mission.

Helge Øystein Maakestad ??, 2000 Lead G/U This is a ski-mountaineering traverse going from Aiguille du Midi to Chamonix via the Periades couloir and the Mt. Mallet glacier. You descend the "Vallee Blanche", then climb the Periades couloir. Then you abseil onto the Mt. Mallet glacier and ski down to the Montenvers train station. When conditions are good it is a fantastic experience.
