Follow the runners' trod to a wooden gate below Clougha. You can see a few prominent boulders up to the left, further on past the Hill Side and Gully boulders. One is the Project Boulder in Lancashire Bouldering.
Left of the slab face is a little cave. SDS in the cave, reaching up for handholds on the top of the pinnacle on your left. Without using feet anywhere on the top side of the pinnacle, use its front and the steep right wall to gain the top. Top out with style or like a beached whale.
Alternately, you can use the very top of the pinnacle for a foot, but downgrade to f3.
