βeta: The red is located after a short scramble after the blue - it's not very obvious, but at the end of the blue (the cable just ends) follow the cliff bottom and you'll pick up the cable after about 50-100m. Note that this route is quite old and does not reflect the other red routes i've done in the area (where in generally red or black means more overhung). Red in this case means much more rock contact (very polished in places - think cuttings in dorset!). It is also has some very long moves in it (i'm 6ft with a plus 3 ape index and I was at full stretch at points!) and I would not recommend it for first timers or short people. A lot of the stretchiest moves are on polished rock down climbs over big drops :-) | βeta? | |
