Original way up the amazing, pencil-like spire of the Puro. Two hard sections, the cave pitch and the bulge (panza) at the start of the last pitch.

Ken Applegate 9 Sep, 2010 Lead Led all except 1st pitch. Intense climbing, with the crux pitch at the top. Strong winds during abseil descents, make sure you use the ab station just below the summit of the Puro, as the team before us got their ropes stuck, using the stakes on the summit.

AMarchant 15 Oct, 2009 AltLd O/S The first full route we got on whilst at Riglos. Much looser in place than the route the following day (Mosquitos) but with a little more care it certainly made for a brilliant day out. Lended itself to a couple of fruity variations too as we were presented with options as to where to go after the 3rd pitch.

ajtay 25 Feb, 2008 Lead Very polished - did direct start - superb, wildly overhanging and just 5+. Well bolted with new parabolts. Cave pitch 6a is short, chimney easy but fun. Puro itself has climbing in wild positions, one section of 5+/6a and the single 6b crux which is also just about the last move of the climb. The abseil is incorrectly described in the above mentioned guide, just below the 6a cave pitch is a via ferrata cable leading to the right looking out. Follow this to its end and an ab point. 1 60 metre and one 30 metre ab reach the ground from here. Do not ab from the belay before the cave pitch. 60 metres ends you about 15 metres up with no other ab point in reach.
