750m. An enjoyable and direct route to the summit with few technical problems. The route passes through very unusual mountain scenery and can be done in day without problem. Jebel Rum Summit 1754.About 750m height gain but 2km in distance! 5 or 6 roped pitches up to 4c.
It's also the major way off this mountain (all abs equipped) so you need to know it before doing other routes or chances are you may get lost looking for it...

βeta: We took a single 60m rope and wish we hadn’t! No problems on the way up, but had to do some wizardry to make it work on the way down. The second to last ab feels pretty scary to get to, but is okay. It is also just off the main ascent route, so follow cairns along ridge line until it comes into view (easier to see tat on cairn before the ab).

βeta: Worth approaching from the top of the gorge behind the ridge rather than direct onto the rigde.
