Note that the first pitch has lost crucial holds and is now considerably harder. Suggested F6b free, but possible to pull through on the bolts, so still worth doing if you're not climbing that grade!
NEW DESCENT ROUTE: a new rappel route has been bolted down the west side. This returns close to the base of ZZ and makes it much less likely to get ropes stuck on the Shoulder.
1) From the summit (new rings) abseil 25m down the top two pitches of ZZ.
2) From the Tower (3rd belay of ZZ) abseil 30m down the west face (line of Independence Day).

βeta: Easy 7 mins walk up from driving to the the cemetery. 1st a little tough at start You can combine the first two pitches easily. Once up through gully the critical bolt on vertical face moves….! Once at top the book states to ab off 20m to NE. Tough pulling ropes through due to grippy granite I would do smaller abs back down route. | ||
