300m. A great start to a Cuillin Ridge traverse if taking the boat over from Elgol. From the Mad March Burn head straight up towards the summit of Gars-bheinn, which stands out even in the dark. The main difficulties are the initial buttress, then scrambling leads to the summit tower. This can be passed on the right to reach the main path and the summit of Gars-bheinn.
