A really good mountain day with great views possible. Park at Malga Crocifisso and walk up through woodland in 615b and onto 615 to the Bivacco Donato Zeni. Ferrata is only 5 minutes from here with intermittent cable and exposed walking. After theoptional Sasso Dodici summit continue on passing another peak Sass Aut to reach a gully. The most recent Cicerone guide talks about a spectacular hole and going beneath large jammed boulders. However, the route has been recabled in the last year or so and the route goes down the gully and traverses out to the left - as you descend -missing the boulders, which you can see from the ledge at the grassy ledges at the bottom. Traverse along a good scree path and up to the col. From here you can make an ascent of Punta Vallacia and then, retracing steps slightly, onwards down to the Rif Vallacia. It is possible to split from the path 624 and return to the Bivacco but the longer option is much more pleaseant walking and kinder on the knees.
