Please refrain from climbing outside

Due to the ongoing spread of Covid-19, please abstain from climbing outside.

At UKC we are all climbers and we understand the strong urge to be outdoors as the weather is finally improving, but we feel this is no longer socially acceptable. You can read our statement here.

We have suspended the UKC Logbooks Top Ascents and Conditions pages and we will no longer accept ascents dated from 23rd March onwards. You can still upload your historic ascents.

UKClimbing Team

80m, 3 pitches. On the left side of the main crag, following a line close to Captain Caveman at the start, before breaking left near the top. Good, well protected climbing on the upper section.

1. 20m Start as for Captain Caveman to the first cave but move left and follow snow and turf before trending right to belay in the second cave.
2. 15m Step out onto a left trending ramp via a short corner (bold/poorly protected) before reaching easier ground and moving right to a large ledge and good belay.
3. 45m Gain a higher ledge, move left and climb the obvious corner crack to stand on top of a pinnacle. Pull onto the wall and follow turfy ledges leftwards to easier ground, which is climbed to the top.

Ken Applegate 19 Jan AltLd Nice enough climb, but the snow was next to useless, so I wouldn't rush up there in a hurry!
