The obvious ridge close to the Almageller Hut is a worthwhile climb on good rock. It contains moves of IV, although is mainly grade III.

Fantastic route! Lots and lots of great climbing. Backed off this a few years ago but we'd got a bit off route: after the initial easy slabs it goes up to a bolt but not up the crack directly above said bolt. Instead, go right and then more bolts and a sublime steep bit appear.

Lovely route good rock. Same as what's already been said- some of the routefinding is tricky with lots of harder alternatives- generally okay if you're feeling confident though!

Several alternative routes in places, some much harder than others - had to downclimb and find an alternatives a few times...

late start at midday due to heavy snowfall the night before, most of which had melted but a few patches of ice remained at the top of the crux. Great day out but had to cut it short at the second summit due to lateness and abbed off. walked back to Saas Grund for midnight to find the campsite shut :(

Chris led the hard pitches which were covered in snow and ice. Had to start at 1230 to let the snow melt from the night before, which meant we ran out of time and had to abseil off from the second peak. Awesome climbing and exposure

Attempted in the afternoon after walking in to the Almagellerhutte that morning. Nice moves on lovely rock. Route finding was a bit difficult at times (try and look out for bolts of all types), the Plaisir Ost Schweiz guide has a better topo than that in either the hut or the Oberwallis guide. Ended up descending just before the second summit due to not wanting to miss dinner. Descent line was further along than first expected, but fine on a single 50 once found (look for the cairn on the terrace below the initial two rap's). Also don't trust some random South American's who tell you that you should be rap'ing down the route they're on whilst they swear about the fact they can't find any bolts for their final pitches!!!

great route, start a bit hard to find , folow yellow paint marks past route 1 (take it easy) then up diagonallly left (faint path) to gully on then on and up R to worn ledge up and generally R from here (scrambling or pitching)when you see the sheer face with a bolt clip it and move out to edge then up

One to come back to. Cruised the early slabs then couldn't climb the crack up to the first roof. Felt about S/HS - too hard for me in boots and with a bag given current state of my climbing! What we did was awesome.

Brilliant route. We were a bit slow (6.5 hours) and thought we'd missed dinner in the hut (luckily there was some left!)
