Approach by walking and scrambling up the path from the open wooden bridge crossing the river by the A4086 about a mile up from Gwastadnant. This is the downstream of two neighbouring bridges.Following the path up into Cwm Glas, past the imposing crag of Cyrn Las with the excellent Main Wall climb brings you up to the right of the arête as seen in the photo. The normal grade two route follows the right wall of the gully on the right hand side of the arête pleasantly and with some interest up to the obvious jammed boulder, which can be seen from afar. From here one can forge ahead straight up until the first barrier.A well worn rightwards traverses lead to suitable weaknesses in the defences. The crux is easy to recognise when you find it - a shallow chimney that seems to offer little for the feet. Jugs above, judicially applied pressure with the possible assistance of a toe jam on the right will overcome this without great difficulty. Above this point, the main difficulties are over, unless you take another traverse to the right and find yourself faced with an awkward mantelshelf onto a restricted platform - easier without a rucksack. Eventually, easy ground leads up to join with the main Crib y Ddysgl ridge, from where a circuit of Cwm Glass is possible to the right or a traverse of Crib Goch and descent of its North Ridge is possible. If the latter is taken, take the scree to the left before reaching the end of the ridge - easily previewed from the Clogwyn Y Person Arête during the ascent on a nice day. This is an excellent route mostly on clean rock, with interesting route finding.

Ticklists: Top ridge scrambles of Britain, Scrambles in Snowdonia - Steve Ashton, North Wales Scrambles - Garry Smith (New White Book), Preparation climbs for a Cuillin ridge traverse, The Ridges of England, Wales and Ireland.

Graupel on the ledges and the slopes above the scramble made things a bit more slippery than I would of liked, especially in climbing shoes - definitely kept 3 points of contact at all times. Great scrambling though and I continued over Crib Goch and down the north ridge of Crib Goch back down to the valley

A 2 hour walk in due to no parking available at the usual lay by starting point. Very hot. Climbed The Parsons Nose before down-climbing into the gap and continuing along Clogwyn Y Person Arête. Scrambling day with Leman and Connell. I short-roped up the gully and then pitched it to the big terrace in maybe 6-8 small pitches. It was difficult to keep these sections short, some of the steps were also tricky in the pouring rain and wind (more like Diff?). After the terrace it eases to grade 1/2 with the odd hard step (like the smooth V-Groove) and Leman led this section. Practiced lowering clients on the Crib y Ddysgyl down climb. Weather for extremely wet and this with lack of visibility made this a harder scramble. After the long walk in we began leading switching positions at various belays. After a while we decided to attempt moving together with coiled rope over our shoulders and about 10m between the 2. we found this a lot faster and easier to complete the route as we moved independently but with plenty of communication we finished the climb in good time. If dryer then I believe this would have been a more enjoyable scramble/climb.

Starting from cromlech boulders finishing over the tops to snowdon and a run down the miners track. Confident scrambler probably 45 minutes of actual scrambling. I would say, if your soloing some of the 'boulder problems' are pretty exciting but it looked like there were ways around them. Great route in a great situation. We did this after the Parson's Nose. The downclimb into the notch was a bit sketchy, especially as I was last on the rope! A great scramble though, but bloody cold for May. We were all glad of our belay jackets and gloves. It was gone 7pm by the time we topped out so we decided, with darkness approaching, to take the Miners' Track back down to Pen y Pass to start the long plod down the Llanberis Pass towards the car [parked at Blaen-y-nant]. Many thanks to the kind chap who picked us up almost straight away and saved us nearly an hour. It was a 13 hour epic as it was!

Very good climb did the Clogwyn y Person Nose start up the right hand edge (although also scrambled up the initial slab), soloing throughout. Having done a fair few scrambles in Scotland and a few in the lakes / snodownia I think this has got to be one of the best scrambles of it's type and grade in the UK. The nose I thought to be solid Mod and is listed as such in the llanberis pass guide. There is a move near the top that would be quite hard to reverse so quite commiting. The upper ridge is hard 2 / easy 3 sort of grade with some stiffish moves that if you fell off doing you'd be lucky not to fall the whole way down the crag. We walked in, in just over 1 hour so not too far really.
