stevelismore 7 Feb, 2018 AltLd O/S Climbed as a 3. I led Pitch 1 up to the cave and took a belay there-mistake really as I ended up there for ages. Mick took pitches 2 and 3. Running out of light so decided to ab down from top of 3, but peg for fixed belay popped and we had to rig up a new ab point, so yet another descent in the dark!

peakschris 7 Feb, 2018 2nd O/S Got to start of P3, which looked a little thin but doable. Was my lead but we had run out of time so we retreated. Then rock holding insitu peg at bottom of P3 shattered whilst being lowered off it. Thankfully 2 other pegs held. Abbed off ice thread instead.

nickdonohue 29 Jan, 2015 AltLd I ignored this route the 1st time I went to Cogne, but it is excellent. I'd recommend taking the (harder) right hand side on the 1st ice pitch. The top pitch was superb with a rising traverse and then the steep step. Hard for the grade.

Andy Clarke 6 Jan, 2013 AltLd O/S A fine route. Thin and hard for the grade, thanks to the unseasonally warm conditions, particularly on the upper wall. Led P1.(At end of P1, best to ignore tree off left and belay on screws below next wall, then run P2&3 together with 60s.)

Misha 12 Feb, 2009 AltLd dnf Wandered around on P2 trying to find a non-lethal way up the ice curtain. This involved climbing up to the ice curtain on a dodgy ice shell, deciding it was too hard and down climbing, while the rope had frozen to one of the quickdraws, so Paul couldn't take in! Finally got into the ice cave and abbed off an icicle in there as time was pressing on. Would have finished if had another hour or two of light as managed to find a reasonable way up the curtain on the extreme left.
