From Kasseler Hütte following a marked path southwards, passing the summit of Rotwand, passing a bridge over Tristenbach and onto the Schneebiger-Nock-Kees (glacier). On the western end of the glacier onto the North Ridge, which leads over blocky terrain (grade I - II) onto the pre summit. From pre summit, following the North Ridge, some exposed scrambling and (an often quite sharp) snow ridge will gain the main summit.
