A variation on A Proper Charlie, this route is the vision of four lads - through conception, name, imagery, and ascent - personified in a piece of true climbing beauty.
When climbing Spider City one might find themselves in a trance like state, where rock and flesh become one. It is believed that even some of the climbing greats have at times travelled thousands of miles, to the the wild moors of County Durham, in search of this route.
Standing start, climb up over the arete, top out using the left side (check for loose rocks at the top).
