Essentially the ‘true’ start to the North Ridge.
After entering Coire na Doire Duibhe look directly ahead (south) to see the termination of the North Ridge. The normal approach to the ridge is on the left up a subsidiary ridge. Ignore this and head south towards a wide open bay that narrows as it gains height and steepens to a defined gully that leads up and onto the North Ridge. It can be climbed on snow belays or on rock belays to the left and right as you climb up. The FA was on a cold and clear day on perfect neve.
