50m. Ennerdale. Probably the best climb on the crag as the rock is clean and it has two great moves. Head to the lowest point of the crag where the path passes beneath the main crag and above the small promontory of Robin Hood's Seat, just before the path starts to climb steeply over polished rock. Here is a grassy square recess just off the path. 1 metre to your right is the midge arete rib, around the corner is a little square seat/recess with very old small carvings on it. 8m above is a black overhang. Climb the crack or slab to the left of the rib and up to the black overhang. Pass the overhang on the right (micros handy), then head straight up the remaining face to the grass/heather ledge. This is the meat of the climb and really very very good in an excellent spot. Setting up is awkward here: head up a bit more to the slabs above the heather (5m or so), on the left wall of the slabs before you climb them properly is a good flake with a good crack below. To make this a great climb continue up choosing various slabs and lines to take on the scattered buttresses to the top of the whole lot (much grass hiking - about 150m in total).
