150m. This impressive buttress lies on the slopes of Grey Friar and overlooks the head of Seathwaithe Tarn. The Crags have a steep left wall, but the crest rises in a series of buttresses set at a reasonable angle. The upper sections offer easier alternatives, which tries to maintain the interest of the first section. Start below and right of the prominant line of overhangs, where a deep right-facing crack splits the crag.
