petemeads ?Nov, 1975 AltLd Our first Big Wall (and our last together, coincidentally) - Four and a half days climbing in perfect conditions after a prolonged wet spell (lucky or what?) - takes in 1/3 Salathe, 1/3 Muir, 1/3 Nose with lots of aid climbing. We actually still had to carry pegs & use a hammer to place them! Still, we had lots of practise in aid climbing from Malham, Kilnsey etc. (which modern climbers have to manage without, I suppose). Actual grade about 5.9 & A2.
