Andy Clarke 3 Jun, 2018 AltLd O/S Wanted to do this for ages so delighted to get on it at last on a lovely warm day with other teams from our party on Cioch Direct. First time I've climbed in the Cuillin in the dry! Immaculate rock with an elegant and exciting crux. P3 pretty tough for 4b - felt just as hard as the crack on P1. Led crux P2 and P5.

Nathan Adam 9 Aug, 2017 AltLd O/S 5a for the second pitch seems fair, easier if you are tall and can traverse right lower perhaps? Definitely harder than 4b for the first few meters up the 3rd pitch crack.

masa-alpin 9 Aug, 2017 AltLd O/S Nathan lead P1, 3 (the groove), 5, and I lead P2 (crux slab) and P4 (to the green ledge). I found the traverse in P2 was hard and a fair amount (diagonally)above the gear, but possibly because the traverse line I chose wasn't the best one. P3 (corner crack) was graded as 4b (both the SMC definitive and selective) or 4a (Latter's yellow book); but we found no way! In my seconding I found there were 3 x 5a moves. Solid HVS on its own.

Steve Perry 24 Jul, 2017 Lead O/S Good route, P2 is really cool, loved the bold steps right and pull onto the slab beneath the corner pitch.. SMC guide gave a good route description.

victim of mathematics 16 Jun, 2009 AltLd O/S Got a bit lost on the first pitch and ended up belaying half way up the slab having traversed a long way left. The crux is surely 5a (not 5b as in Scottish Rock) but a bit bold, and the 4b crack above is a lot like 4c. An excellent route.
