East Ridge is the ridge on the left of Coire Gaothach, gain the ridge from inside the corrie and climb the steep ground to the South to gain the ridge, be sure not be mistake it for the South Rib II which is slightly harder.

Robbie McLaren 10 Jan - last 150m covered in verglas, very unenjoyable, almost turned back but descending it didnt seem an appealing prospect. Some very small patches of hard snow remaining.

m675bowsl 13 Jan, 2017 - Great conditions during the morning. Wind started to bite on ascent to Ben Lui. Car parked adjacent to A82. Icy walk in via track to Cononish. Ascent via East ridge of Ben Lui above Coire Gaothach. Descent SE to cross Coire Laoigh (Deep Snow). Climb to Ben Oss. Decided to skip Beinn Dubhchraig due to deep snow and quickly diminishing light. Descended North, veering North East from East side of Coire Buidhe.

Captain Solo 1 Feb, 2013 Solo A great day out despite spindrift, started late but managed to get up and down in daylight. A fine outing to complete my Scottish Mountain Ridges Ticklist.

Only a hill 20 Jan, 2011 - An unbelievably good day--the views and conditions were simply stunning. Step-cutting ascent, hard neve in places, water ice in others, all covered with a couple of inches of fresh snow.

johannes 21 Mar, 2009 Solo O/S Not exactly in condition, though still plenty of snow in the not so steep sections. Going only with the ice axe, leaving the crampons in the car proved to be the right choice of equipment.
