Rockfax Description
22m. The stunning soaring crack is a mega-classic, as good as any route of its length in the UK. Pull through the tough roof-crack to reach the ledge then jam the narrowing crack with escalating difficulties (great cam protection) until the break arrives. Move right and back left to access the final short crack. © Rockfax

Euan S 3 Jun Lead dnf The crack looks fantastic. However I can't confirm this as I didn't make it past the bulge.

JoshRawson 22 Jul, 2018 Lead dog Took some whippers! 1 fall trying the start, bomber cam to protect the mantle though! 1 big whip mid way up the crack when you start to get totally wrecked! 1 more fall a few meters higher just before the break. This will go but it'll be a fight! Interest me, Richard and Olie all fell off at the exact same points. Good effort though I'll be coming back for it!

Graeme Hammond 7 May, 2018 Lead G/U Sadly backed off attempt first attempt as was too dirty, quick brush and removed gear and went second go so not truly ground up. Still amazing a long held ambition fulfilled. Sadly ran out of time to do the classic HVS, will have to wait a few years for the epic heather basing approach memories to fade first!

Rob Greenwood - UKClimbing 25 Jun, 2017 Lead O/S Wanted to do this for years, and it didn't disappoint - a great route in a stunning location. A superb pure jamming pitch is quite a rare thing in the UK too, which makes this route all the more special.

Dogwood 26 Apr, 2017 Lead dnf Took a bit of falling off to get over the start, then ended up falling off the crack once it got to thin hands... will be back as this route is fantastic

LHumble 30 Aug, 2015 Lead dog A very dirty and dusty climb that is worth cleaning before climbing. The crux for me was getting over the initial lip. Crack climbed turned laybacking / open the elevator doors. Climb at the start or end of season otherwise there is no permissible track.

allmag 15 Jul, 1989 Lead Made the starting moves alright but was surprised at the sustained difficulties to come - very thin crack - finger tip wide in places and it killed my toes! To be honest I was disappointed - more with my performance than the route.
