An exposed South West facing limestone quarry with an increasing number of climbs, both Sport, Traditional and a mix of the two.
The rock is very rough, almost like gritstone and offers some excellent cracks and features.
The sport and mixed routes on right side once had a topo, though largely out of date it has disappeared off of the internet.
Parking further up the road from the main gate is still suggested. With the left hand traditional routes (as good as some of them are) being visible from the road, they will receive a few more onlookers.
Should be pretty self explanatory but parking away from the main gate would be suggested. Take care to not block the main gate if you must park here, as access is evidently required at times, for large vehicles including tractors.
Good climbing and gear on the routes on the left. The rock is clean but the alder bushes at the bottom will need cutting down before long as they'll start to spoil the routes. petellis - 21/Jul/09 |
