Approach notes

On the Glasgow to Loch Lomand cycle path, head north from Bowling trains station into the woods, once you come to the cycle path turn right, go under a bridge and the crag is on your left.

I gave this wee crag a wee clean over lockdown during the winter, some interesting climbing with some fun moves, wondering if it's worth trying to expand routes down the crag side?

Just heard that this crag has had some 'lockdown love' and has been cleaned and cleared off vegetation to allow a top-out. Great work! Don't rely on the bolted lower-offs however - there are trees at the top of the crag which you can belay off.

We visited this tiny little crag today while walking the dog. It's a quarried slab in a old railway cutting. It was a bit wet and overgrown - needs some gardening for sure. We were interested in top-roping using the bolted anchors mentioned in the (old) guidebook. LHS one looks OK from the ground with horizontal bolt hangers and rings. RHS is missing one bolt hanger and ring and the remaining bolt looks super-rusty. This would need much closer inspection before I would trust either of these anchors.
