The top end of Rothbury Quarry has been bouldered on since the 1950s and there are more problems on the boulders in the paddock above the main quarry - NMC Bouldering Guide p.424
Follow what looks like a private drive with an open wooden gate next to the council grit bin (55.309804, -1.930471), past assorted ironmongery to a small gate and path. Don't be misled by the first grotty quarry, on the right. Carry further up the path through encroaching rhododendrons to a cleaner, drier area of rock. 5 minutes.
