The Main Crag is split into two tiers, the upper tier is an impressive 40 meter high gently overhanging wall, the lower tier is scrappy and is where the Eagles are nesting - no climbing on this tier any time of the year. See access advice below for nesting restrictions on other sections of the crag. The deep and heavily vegetated chimney of Rowan Chimney splits the Main Crag from the Bastion on the left.
There are impressive walls left and lower than the Bastion.
There is an extensive boulder field below the crag with a lot fo development potential.
Either via Strath Vaich (19.5km) or Gleann Mhor (18km), bikes essential for the good estate tracks for all bar the last 1.5km. Roughly 2 hours. (E-bike would reduce this effort).
Nesting Birds - Golden Eagles nesting on the Lower Tier of the Main Crag. No climbing during nesting season March to August. The birds are being monitored by a voluntary guardian associated with the estate.
