Autumn in the Cuillin © colinthrelfall
The true final peak in the Cuillin Main Ridge, ignored by most. Craggy all the way round, with no easy route and some incredibly rough gabbro. Nearly all the recorded routes are on the Southeast and Northeast Faces, but there is plenty of rock on the other sides too (if a little harder to reach).
Either:
- take the (misnamed) Tourist Path towards Sgurr nan Gillean, then once on the ridge turn left and descend to reach the foot of the North Ridge (quicker but more ascent). This approach is better if you just want to bag the peak.
- take the track up Glen Sligachan for about 4km then cross the bog and slant up to the foot of the SE Face (more direct but rougher and slower). This approach is better for the climbs,
