Lee Bay bouldering © Emsilily
Short, entertaining bouldering on a pretty beach below Lee Abbey. There are problems on the hard, wave-washed sandstone overhangs on the left side of the beach (looking out to sea), as well as on the shaley caves just east. Some tidal and some non-tidal.
From Lyton, take Lee Road to the Valley of Rocks and Lee Abbey. After the Valley of Rocks take the toll road (Now £2) down past Lee Abbey to a car park in a field by some public toilets. The beach is 5 minutes walk down the track (toll increased in 2017).
The rock is really excellent. Pleasantly surprised. Lots more scope. goi.ashmore - 13/Nov/17 |

Nice little spot with good rock. Pad is needed if you want to have any fun at all flailing near the ground. Routes have to be eliminates to be fun, since it's so short.. Enjoy working areas like this. I'll be back. Jon de Leyser - 05/Sep/14 |
