Crag features

The Crag is on the East face looking towards the majestic Griffin wind farm, and is visible from the A826 driving N. The crag is in two sections with lots of potential, the bouldering is located on the furthest S cliff. 

Approach notes

 

Cycling gives the quickest access at 30min Walking takes about 50min (Cycling back is very quick) 3.3km 

Park at the access for the wind farm opposite Griffin OS Grid Ref: NN 88598 45019

Go down the track for 1.2km taking the turning on right, take this for 1.2km to OS Grid Ref: NN 87365 44971 where a cairn marks the track through a break in the trees.

Follow a deer track down the hill, over a burn and veer left, then follow your nose through some boggy clearings and up through some plantation to emerge out of the trees (leave bikes here).

The crags are all to your left, follow the forest edge and some deer tracks through some boulders, stay low under the first crag and contour towards the plantation, walk up next to this then head round this to see the bouldering crags.
