Crag features

Although impressive on arrival, the slabby and blocky rock face only offers a few worthwhile climbs. Take a full set of cams and keep your nut key handy for slot broddling.

Approach notes

The quarry is about a mile west of Newton Abbot. Park at Chercombe Bridge and take the valley bottom footpath. The quarry is obvious, above a lime kiln.

Access Advice

The woodland is an SSSI, designated for both geological and botanical interest (including wild thyme, rock rose and orchids). Keep cleaning minimal.
