Car park is pricey in the summer
3 miles S of Aveton Gifford (on the A379) there is a roundabout; take the exit marked Bantham. Drive straight through Bantham to the public car-park in the dunes. Boulder-hop E around the point to find the "Bantham Hand".
|A little suprised but very pleased to see the Bantham Hand still standing after the battering the coast has taken from the winter storms! Anyway it is a most excellent esoteric adventure and the following is a short video of the "crag classic" with the added bonus of a simu-abseil to descend:

|Not sure if this is old new or not but climbed Bantham hand the other night and there was a big loose flake on the route. Half way up the route on the left of the vegetated gully, there is a greeny yellow flake that is definitely not attached! Something worth looking out for. Other than that, nice climb with amazing views. Cheers|
