Altitude 240m a.s.l
Gentle sloping hill to the northwest of Harstad city. Features two main routed of ascent one from the SW and one from the NE of the hill.
Places of interest include; bomb craters from a Luftwaffe raid during WW2, the summit with its fire pit and a moderatley sized cave system, believed to be a German WW2 munitions store at the extreme NE end on the small sub-peak of Bergsåsen (113m).
Featured as an easy summit for the Harstad 'Ti på topp' 2009 and 2010.
Access to the hill can be gained for the SW end by footpath, next to the ATCN (Allied Training Centre North) at Åsegarden on the main road to Kvæfjord/Solia Alpinsenter.
For the northeast end access, is via small public road in Såma, and gives access to Bergsåsen.
For access to the cave and German bunkers of Bergsåsen access is best by way of the main road to Grytøya, stopping at Vika. A WW2 pill box can be found at the side of the road, the cave and bunker is situated on the North facing hillside of Bergsåsen.
