Crag features

Sustipan is the oldest DWS area in Croatia. It is located in Split, near the city centre. Cliffs are mainly 6-10m high and the routes are usually overhanging with large holds. For climbing here a boat is not necessary as you can reach the routes from the neighbouring beach.

Approach notes

Swin or scramble 100m from the bar!

Had some fun here a couple of times at the end of the day. Sector A is easy to find and you can climb in from the top fairly easily. You can then traverse into the routes reasonably easily, or just climb out of the water onto them. For sector B traversed all the way from sector A, onto the small platform top left of sector B. It remained awkward but feasible to then down climb and traverse into the routes. Tiring though, made it all feel hard. Exited sector B directly up from the platform into the park. Felt a little dodgy (would be hard to climb down without knowing the area). Sector B would definitely benefit from some form of boat/dingy. Just below the descent for sector A, underwater, there is an extremely old scooter which was fun to go and take photos on. The better of the Split city dws crags.
