Often a frustrating bottleneck for climbers attempting a ridge traverse, new routes here give some alternatives to queueing, or offer great climbing in their own right.
Approach notes
Back in April 1963 under settled snow and icy conditions but blue sky and sunshine there were no queues or bottlenecks at TD gap when we did our Traverse. Saw no one else on the Ridge that perfect day when we could see St Kilda. Our drink at Sligachan was very welcome before our truck collected us to go back to our camp at Glen Brittle.
