Good rock quality, above the river Schwechat. A couple of climbs start from a small beach, but most start directly above the water. Sport climbs with mostly bad/old bolts. A few of the harder climbs have been re-equipped, but due to the complicated rope handling, rarely ever are any climbers seen here - except on the lovely 30m traverse (5c).
Approach notes
Park on the street next to the last houses of Baden, before the street goes through a tunnel. This is the tunnel through Engelstein. Walk over the bridge crossing the river in front of the tunnel, walk down to the river and cross it again (by walking through the water).
