Crag features

Impressive and popular tooth like peak, with the easiest routes requiring scrambling. Actually comprised of 2 summits, the Haggenspitz (1761m) and the Hauptgipfel (1811m). Several climbing routes are listed in the guidebooks, and there are a few klettergarten dotted around the flanks as well.

There are several possibilities to combine routes, with the traverse from North to South over both summits being the most obvious. The easiest routes to the summits, the Hauptgipfel East Flank and Haggenspitz South Ridge can also be easily combined in a day and are both fun and worthwhile.

Approach notes

Parking or bus to Brunni (1100m) on the east side or parking at Haggenegg (1414m) at the north end means the height gain to the summits might even be less than desired. If that's the case, walk up from the Schwyz train station (455m).
