A series of walls facing east along one side of a ridge running north out to sea, with a few climbs also scattered along the west side.
The routes at the landward end of the ridge are above a grassy landing (unique for a NE Outcrops seacliff) while the far end is tidal.
Birds can be a problem in the nesting season at the seaward end of the ridge.
Park by the Cullen caravan park (57.693679, -2.814896), walk east past Nelson's Seat and down to the coast. Follow the coastal path under the cliff to reach the dyke in the distance.
Tidal and non-tidal.
Birds currently nesting in tidal zone and potentially other areas. Embankments seemed clear though Matt Fossett - 27/Jun/20 |

Great crag! Check out the west face of the pinnacle. Nesting birds very aggressive. Gully wall to Star Zone at your own risk! bnewman - 12/Jun/11 |

Nesting gulls were a much bigger problem than suggested by the guidebook. Nests right at the top of the descent route made Gully Wall inaccessible except at low tide; most routes in the Tidal Zone had nests on them; the ridge above Star Zone was lined with nests; and the West Face was also peppered with nests. Diff to E2, great crag, tons of excellent trad routes. Watch out for the path routes though, bit slippy. Nice walk in but watch out for the gulls, they get quite pissed if you happen to disturb them. Great ice cream shop in the village, real treat after a day there. a beaten man - 05/Dec/05 |
