Crag features

A collection of boulders in a valley woodland high above the River Esk. It can take a few days of dry weather for certain boulders but it is home to some excellent problems on solid sandstone. Problems worth seeking include Dreamcatcher, Boney King of Nowhere, Fallen Angel, Troll Hunter, Wild Flowers and Hellraiser.

Some new boulders have been developed recently here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/e/2PACX-1vTO-U3rGttyJUKSYM9dY5leZZF5TAkjhUK2NwNNC6DQ30gx4ySnxF5CrBKIdxVZmx2P9u9enf184KgX/pub

Approach notes

Use the car park at the bridge near the train station In Glaisdale. Cross a small footbridge near a ford to the west and take the Esk Valley Walk that goes through the woods and the boulders lie either side of the path after about 10 minutes.

really good place for some quality woodland bouldering. bit different setting for the moors. quality problems on good rock although they do need a cleaning. mint.
