Mount Stanley is located in the Rwenzori Range. With an elevation of 5,109m, it is the highest mountain of both the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda, and the 3rd highest in Africa. It is arguably the most technical, only accessible by crossing glaciers and final ice climb to summit all year round. Mount Stanley consists of two twin summits and several lower peaks. Margherita Peak is the highest. 

Approach notes

All acess to the park is through the Rwenzori Park trust and guide/sherpers are expected to be hired.
