The problems on the Castle and Soar Crags are short but there are a few highball gems on Memorial Crag. At present both Castle Crag and Soar crag are climbable. The vegetation at Memorial Crag was cut back in June 2020 and is now also climbable.
Maps and Topo can be found on Leicestershire Bouldering.
Park in the layby on The Navins (GPS Coordinates). Castle Crag is easy to find. Memorial Crag is to the north of the memorial. Soar Crag is harder to find the first time; it can be reached from the main memorial path by a vague path cut through the bushes which runs eastwards and down hill (see red line on this map).
June 2020. Castle and Soar crags not overgrown. Much of the vegetation has recently been cleared from Memorial Crag too. Sid Sherborne - 16/Jun/20 |
