Approach notes

From Sonthofen drive towards Bad Hinderlang. Continue on the same road through the village and climb the Oberjoch pass (B308) in the direction of Reutte/Tyrol. Parking is found towards the top of the pass, on the left-hand side at the bottom of the track/drive-way leading to the Hirschalpe hut.

Follow the track (tarmac) up the hill towards the Hirschalpe for about 15-20 minutes until you reach a wooden hut and path on the right (this is a toilet installed by the DAV). This path then brings you to the Hängender Stein and which then leads to the other Weihar sectors.

Access to the crag should only be via the road/track. Do not cross the meadow at any point. There are signs (in German) warning against this, whereby infringement could lead to a loss of climbing access.
