To the west of Castlebay lies the huge rounded bulk of Beinn Tangabhal, with a long line of sea-cliffs to its west stretching for about 2km.
Approach notes
Approach from just south of the Isle of Barra Hotel. Follow the marked path towards Dun Ban for 10-15mins. Cross the fence where it starts to dip down towards the sea then continue gaining some height. A boulder will be seen on the skyline, aim just above it to round the impressive chasm Lunar Geo.
