The wall of Kryptos is nearly 100m high. Being so remote, Kryptos offers an almost Alpine ambiance and with something very different to the usual Kalymnian style, with climbs on conglomerate rock. The difficult approach means this sector is only suitable for more experienced climbers. On all the routes, it is best not to venture too far from the bolts as the rock quality deteriorates.
From Arginonta take the road towards Vathy for 2 km and stop at a little concrete wall with red marks and the letter 'K'. Follow the red marks up, left of a small gully and onto a path leading to the Panagia Galatiani chapel. After passing the Little Verdon sector on the Arginonta Skyline, stay on the path until you reach the flat pass at an altitude of 450m. At the end of the pass, see a letter 'K' on the rock, and then follow the couloir on the right for about 40m, then follow a ledge and climb up a short pillar.
