Crag features

Whaley Moor (Black Hill) is a pleasant ridge between Lyme Park and Whaley Bridge. An ancient stone (the Dipping Stone) is located on its south-east slope at SJ996816. This would have held stone crosses visible from Bow Stones.

Approach notes

A number of public footpaths go up to the ridge from Mudhurst Lane where there are parking bays.
