High up on Entasis. Excellent route at Raven's Crag, Northern Highlands © NDD
Often dry, and offers many great routes at VS and below.
Visit October 2024, public parking has become more difficult for this crag due to the once open to all car park just off the B8056 (opposite the Shieldaig Lodge) now being signed as catering for the hotel and falconry centre only. There is limited parking on the road verge near to point where the Fairy Lochs/Liberator track leaves the road however this is limited to 5 cars.
Described as 'farm track' in Scottish rock is a gravel road signposted to Torridon (blocked to unauthorised vehicles near the start) that can be easily ascended around 20 mins to a small lochan. The crag can be seen in profile on the right, 10 minute walk along a few paths but it can be boggy!
This is one big impressive lump of rock. Only climbed on the Dark slab but the rock was excellent with good holds for both hands and feet. Next time though will take a lot more small nuts!! CyberTaff - 17/Jun/13 |

Massively underwhelming. Ill defined lines and plenty of vegetation. Waste of a day. Ian Jones - 22/Nov/10 |
