Crag features

The summit of Rautispitz can be reached via a straightforward walk in summer from the Obersee on the north side via Rautialp, given T2 in the SAC wanderskala. This route is also possible in winter in the right conditions, and snowfields on the upper slopes will likely be present in early summer too. The more direct route from the Obersee via Geisschappel is T4 and has some short scrambly sections, some equipped with cables. The interesting scenery and positions are only a little offset by annoyingly muddy paths in the upper section, slippery when wet.

There are also a few other interesting looking scrambles and climbs on the peak.
