Crag features

A well bolted crag, worth a visit for its quartzite rock and stunning mountain top location. Square cut flat holds, an unusual green colour, easy angled and steep areas make the 20+ routes in sector Amarelo particularly worth checking out.

Good topo here.

Approach notes

From Porto, take the A24 and exit as for the village of Franco. From here, follow the road towards the Santa Barbara church and continue to Veiga de Lila and from then intuition (and google maps) will get you to the crag. The main crag is above these marked with a chapel on Google satellite view. The track takes you to parking at the wood approx 600m north of the crag, from where it becomes rough and a 4WD essential to get any further.

As of December 2018, trails (from both Passos and Franco) up to the crag/cell towers appear to be almost impassable due to ground clearance and the loose surface.

We managed the drive from Franco without too much difficulty in a 4x4 camper van. Worth it for the amazing camping spot!
