Crag features
Excellent roadside cragging on lovely schist (or gneiss?). Quick-drying and sunny aspect. 1-2 pitch routes, well-bolted. Range of slabs, walls and overhangs. 3 sectors: upper left (up the hill), lower left and lower right (lower right offers some 2 pitch routes). Also some ice-climbs in the same area, one of which climbs the side of the avalanche tunnel.
Approach notes
A5 Motorway, exit at Junction Aosta ovest, following signposts for Cogne. Before arriving at the village of Epinel, you can see the face on your left along the straight road after the avalanche tunnel. Park opposite the crag on an unsurfaced layby. Cross the road, go onto the parapet marking the edge of the road and follow a path up a gully to reach the crag in 3 minutes.
